How to Use
- Fill in the landlord's name, address, and PAN (PAN is required if the annual rent exceeds ₹1,00,000).
- Fill in the tenant's name and the rented property's full address.
- Enter the monthly rent amount, currency, and payment mode (cash, cheque, bank transfer, UPI, or online).
- Choose "Single Receipt" for one month, or "Multiple Months" to generate a full batch (e.g. 12 receipts for a financial year) in one go.
- Optionally upload the landlord's signature — it appears above the signature line in the preview, PDF, and print output.
- Review the live preview, then click "Download PDF" or "Print Receipt(s)".
When to Use This
- A salaried tenant gathering a year of proof at submission time can produce twelve dated and numbered receipts in one pass instead of writing each by hand.
- Landlords with several tenants can issue the same receipt layout to each of them, retyping only the tenant name, premises and amount between batches.
- When rent went out by bank transfer, choosing that payment mode records the method on the receipt and lines the document up with the statement entry.
- Tenants who moved mid-year can run two batches, one per premises, because the property address is written into the body of every receipt.

About This Tool
A rent receipt is the landlord's acknowledgment that a named tenant paid a stated amount, for a stated month, for stated premises, by a stated method. Those four facts are there so that each payment can later be matched against a bank entry or a cash book. It is a different document from the rental agreement: the agreement sets out what is owed, while the receipt evidences what actually changed hands, which is why it carries the landlord's signature rather than both parties'.
Landlord, tenant and property details are entered once, along with the monthly rent, currency symbol and payment mode. Single mode produces one receipt; Multiple Months produces up to twenty-four, numbered in sequence from your starting number and dated to a payment day between the 1st and the 28th. A landlord signature image can be uploaded, and the PDF is assembled in your browser, one receipt per page.
Notes & Limits
- A batch repeats one rent amount across every month, so a mid-year increase, a part month or a month that went unpaid needs a separate batch or a manual edit.
- The batch stops at twenty-four receipts and the payment day at the 28th, so a receipt dated the 29th, 30th or 31st has to be made one at a time in Single mode.
- A box marked Revenue Stamp is printed where one applies; the tool cannot supply the stamp itself, and the printed receipt still needs it affixed and signed.
- This is a receipt format rather than a tax filing or proof that a tenancy exists, and an employer or assessing officer may ask for the agreement or bank proof alongside it.
