QIs this a legally binding e-signature?
It places a picture of your signature onto the page, which is what most everyday paperwork asks for. It is not a cryptographic digital signature and carries no identity verification or audit trail, so it is not equivalent to a certificate-based signature from a qualified provider. For a contract with formal e-signature requirements, use a dedicated service.
QDoes my document get uploaded?
No, and this is the main reason to use it. Signing usually means handing a contract, offer letter, or agreement to a third-party website. Here the PDF is opened, signed, and saved entirely inside your browser.
QWhat image works best for an uploaded signature?
A PNG with a transparent background, so the page shows through around the strokes. A photo of a signature on white paper will paste a white box onto the document.
QCan I sign more than one page?
Apply the signature to one page, then drop the downloaded file back in to sign the next. Each pass adds one signature.
About This Tool
The drawn signature is captured on a transparent canvas and embedded into the PDF as a PNG with pdf-lib. Placement is worked out by mapping where you clicked on the preview back into PDF user space, which means converting from the preview's top-left pixel origin to the PDF's bottom-left point origin and undoing the preview scale — so the signature lands where you put it regardless of the page size or how the preview was scaled to fit.
