No. This tool shows the mid-market (interbank) exchange rate — the midpoint used by banks and financial institutions. Banks, card networks, and money transfer services typically add a markup or fee on top of this rate, so the amount you actually receive or pay may differ slightly.
QIs my data sent to a server?
The amount and currencies you enter never leave your browser. This tool does fetch publicly available exchange rate data from a financial data provider to perform the conversion — that is the only network request it makes, and no personal information is included in it.
QWhy isn't my currency in the list?
The converter supports over 160 currencies, covering virtually every actively traded currency worldwide. If one is genuinely missing, it likely isn't tracked by the underlying exchange rate data source.
About This Calculator
Exchange rates are sourced from a live financial data API and cached in your browser for about an hour to keep the tool fast and responsive without excessive network calls. All conversions use the standard cross-rate method (target currency value ÷ source currency value, both relative to a common base currency), which is how currency conversions are calculated internationally.
