How to Use

QCan I skip numbering the cover page?
Yes. Set the first numbered page to 2 and the cover is left clean, while the numbering still counts from wherever you tell it to start.
QCan I start counting from a number other than 1?
Yes. The starting number is separate from which page numbering begins on, so you can continue the sequence from an earlier document.
QWhat if my pages already have numbers printed on them?
The new numbers are drawn on top and will overlap the existing ones. Choose a different position, or remove the old numbers first.
QWill the numbers be selectable text?
Yes. They are added as real text, so they can be selected, copied, and searched like any other text in the document.
About This Tool
Numbers are drawn into each page content stream as text in a standard PDF font. The horizontal position is calculated from the measured width of the label so centred numbers stay centred even as the digits grow, and the vertical offset is measured from the page edge in points so the result is consistent across mixed page sizes.
