How to Use
- In the From dropdown select the unit your reading uses, such as Bar or PSI, and enter the reading in the input below it.
- In the To dropdown select the unit you want; the converted pressure is calculated live and the line under it states the single-unit factor.
- Click the swap button between the columns to reverse the two units, then take the figure with the Copy button.
- Select a card in the Common Pressure Conversions grid for a frequent pairing, or open any pair from the All Pressure Conversions list to get its converter and conversion table.

About Pressure Conversion
Pressure is force spread over an area, so the SI unit is one newton per square meter, called the pascal. A single pascal is tiny: sea-level air pressure is 101,325 of them. That is why working units are larger or borrowed from older instruments. The bar is 100,000 pascals, picked to sit close to one atmosphere without matching it. PSI is pounds-force per square inch, while mmHg and inches of mercury describe the height of a mercury column, which is why tire gauges, weather reports and blood pressure readings all speak different units.
Eleven units are included, among them kilopascals, millibars, torr and kgf per square centimeter. The pascal is the base, so each value is turned into pascals and then out into the unit you chose. Displayed answers keep four decimals above 10, six between 1 and 10, and eight below 1. The work is done in your browser.
