📄 The short version

There are no accounts on YoTools and nothing to sign up for. The tools that handle your files — every PDF tool and every image tool — do their work inside your own browser: your file is never uploaded to a server, and nobody here can see it. What is collected is ordinary website analytics, and advertising cookies if you allow them.

Two tools are exceptions to the in-browser rule, because they need information from elsewhere. They are named below.

🗂️ Files you open in a tool

When you drop a PDF or an image into one of the tools, it is read and processed by JavaScript running on your own device. The file is not sent anywhere, and the finished result is written straight back to your downloads. Closing the tab discards everything. This applies to all 11 PDF tools and all 20 image tools, as well as the text, developer and SEO tools, the calculators, the generators and the unit converters.

The same is true of the documents produced by the business tools — invoices, quotations, salary slips, letters. Whatever you type into them stays in your browser and is turned into a PDF there. None of it reaches a server, and none of it is stored.

🌐 The two tools that talk to a server

Currency converter. Exchange rates come from a third-party rates service. Your browser does not contact that service directly — it asks this site, and this site fetches and caches the rate table centrally, at most once an hour, shared across everyone using the tool. The rates provider therefore never sees your device or the amounts you convert. The amounts themselves are only ever calculated in your browser.

YouTube thumbnail downloader. To show you the thumbnails, your browser loads the images directly from YouTube's image servers, which means YouTube can see that a request came from your device, as it would for any embedded image. The download itself is fetched by this site rather than by your browser. The video URL you paste is not stored.

📊 Analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which tools are used and Google AdSense to show ads, which is what pays for running it. Both are configured with Google Consent Mode, so on your first visit a banner asks whether you agree to analytics and advertising cookies. Until you answer, both are set to denied and neither writes a cookie or builds a profile. Analytics events record which tool was used and nothing you typed into it.

Your answer to that banner is remembered in your browser's local storage under the name yt_consent. It never leaves your device, and it is the only thing this site itself stores on your device. Clearing your browser's site data for yotools.in makes the banner appear again so you can choose differently.

If you accept, Google may set its own cookies and use them to personalise ads, under Google's own privacy terms rather than this site's. If you decline, ads may still appear but are not personalised.

🔗 Other services a page contacts

Every page loads an icon font from jsDelivr, a public code delivery network. Your browser contacts jsDelivr to fetch it, which discloses your IP address to them in the same way visiting any website discloses it. No other third-party asset is loaded: the PDF engine and every script that does actual work are served from this site.

Standard web server logs are kept by the hosting provider — IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. These are used for security and for diagnosing faults, not for tracking individuals across the web.

👤 Children

These are general-purpose utilities and are not directed at children. No age information is collected, because no personal information is collected.

✉️ Your choices and how to reach us

You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, and you can block cookies or scripts entirely — the tools will still work, since they do not depend on them.

Because no accounts exist and no personal records are kept, there is normally nothing held about you to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, or have any question about this policy, write to contact@yotools.in.

This site is operated by YoTools from India, and this policy is governed by the law of India. If it changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
