No. The merge runs entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your documents never leave your device, which makes this safe for contracts, statements, and other confidential files.
QIs there a limit on how many files I can merge?
There is no fixed limit, but because everything is processed in your browser's memory, very large jobs (hundreds of megabytes) may be slow or run out of memory on low-end devices. Merging in batches works around this.
QWill merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied across exactly as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. Nothing is re-compressed.
QCan I merge a password-protected PDF?
Only if it opens without a password. PDFs that require a password to view cannot be read by the browser and will be rejected with an error.
About This Tool
Merging is done with pdf-lib, which parses each source PDF, copies the page objects into a new document, and serializes the result. Because pages are copied rather than re-rendered, the output preserves the original text layer, fonts, and image resolution of every input file.
